Soft chapati
Chapati is always my best and my family loves it.
Steps
- 1
Whisk salt and flour. Pour in the coconut milk
- 2
Pour hot water mixed with vegetable oil into the flour. Use wooden spoon to start mixing the flour since it is too hot
- 3
Once water has cooled use your hand to start bringing the dough together
- 4
Knead the dough until it is soft and pliable. Cover and let rest for 20 minutes. Take dough and divide into round equal balls
- 5
Take one of the balls anod roll in into a round shape. Spread oil on the surface, make a slit from the middle to the end. Start folding it around towards the other end
- 6
You will end up with a cone like shape
- 7
Tuck in the top and bottom part of the cone to form a round ball again. Repeat until all the dough has been oiled and rounded into balls
- 8
Take one of the dough and roll into a round thin shape. Heat a pan and place the chapati on it. Cook until slight bubbles appear on top of the chapati
