Ingredients

30 minutes
6 servings
  • 2potatoes medium grated
  • 4 tablespoonoats slightly roasted
  • 1fresh and ripe apple
  • 2 cubescheese grated
  • 2Green chillies finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoonCoriander leaves chopped
  • 1 teaspoonMint leaves chopped
  • 2 tablespoonsall purpose flour or corn flour
  • 1/2 teaspoonsalt or to taste
  • 2 teaspoonsoil, I have used olive oil

Steps

30 minutes

    Firstly squeeze excess water from the grated potatoes.

  2. 2

    Grate apples around the core, and transfer to a colander or strainer, pressing out as much liquid /juice as possible.

  3. 3

    Coarsely grind the oats.

  4. 4

    In a broad plate take potato, grated apple, roasted oats, add cheese, coriander, mint, green chillies, salt and corn flour and mix all ingredients very well.

  5. 5

    Heat a non-stick pan and drizzle some olive oil.

  6. 6

    Now take a spoonful of prepared mixture on to your greased palm and make a flat round shapes and keep aside.

  7. 7

    Cook the rösties on a medium flame until golden brown and crisp on both sides, flipping them occasionally.

  8. 8

    Do the plating and serve hot rösties with hot and sweet sauce or schezuan sauce.
