First marinate chicken with yogurt,ginger,garlic and salt and red chilli.

In a pan heat water add some salt and oil and cook rice until haddlf done then strain it.

In a handi or deep kadai heat ghee add onions and salt and cook till golden brown and take them out then add all whole spices, green chilliand then add marinated chicken and cook For 15 min then add powdered spices and salt then take half of this mixture out and start layering rice by adding first layer of chicken then rice and then add onions too and cover it with lid and place a heavy utensil on it and cook for 30min.

You also make a normal whole wheat flour dough and place it on sides of lid then cover it which is traditionally done.
