Pre heat the oven to 160°C/ 320°F or gas mark 3

Line a baking tray with parchment paper

Place the flour, salt and ginger in a bowl

Place sugar, butter and syrup in a pan and melt on a low heat until everything is dissolved. Then pour into the bowl with the flour in it and mix well

Add the milk and form into a dough. Knead lightly with hands

Roll out and cut out shapes and place on a baking tray
- 7
Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes

Allow to cool on the baking parchment paper

Decorate if doing so
