Wash rice and place it aside

Cut onion,potato in long pieces

Heat oil,add mustard,cumin seeds when flutters add bay leaf,curry leaves,cloves, peanuts and then onion

Saute it till becomes brownish then add ginger garlic paste,saute for a minute

Add potato,green peas saute for 2 minutes then add red chilli powder,turmeric powder,mix well.

Now add the washed rice and saute for 5 minutes

Then add boiled water 4 bowls add garam masala

Mix well let it cook on medium flame for 5,7 minutes then stir it

Low the flame and let it cook till rice softens

Check the rice if water is needed you can add boiled water as necessary

Serve hot get decorating with dry coconut grated and green coriander.

Masala potato rice is ready serve with mint,raw mango chutney and roasted papad
