Grass Jelly

It's been really hot lately, hasn't it? Why not make some grass jelly to cool off? It's super easy! Even though you can easily buy ready-made grass jelly at the store now, I still prefer making things with my own hands.
Grass Jelly
It's been really hot lately, hasn't it? Why not make some grass jelly to cool off? It's super easy! Even though you can easily buy ready-made grass jelly at the store now, I still prefer making things with my own hands.
Steps
- 1
I use a 1.8 oz (50 g) packet of Thuận Phát grass jelly powder, which comes with a small tube of banana extract.
- 2
Prepare 4 1/4 cups (1 liter) of filtered water. Gradually pour in the grass jelly powder while stirring to dissolve. Once dissolved, let the mixture sit for at least 5 minutes, then place it on the stove. Cook while stirring so the grass jelly cooks evenly. Add 3 tablespoons of sugar if you prefer it less sweet like I do, or adjust the sugar to your taste.
- 3
Cook until the mixture thickens. You don't need to bring it to a boil—if you do, it might burn, so I avoid that. Add the banana extract and stir well; it smells amazing! You can pour the mixture into a mold and let it set, or leave it in the pot until it firms up. Once set, cut it into cubes and serve with sweetened condensed milk, chilled, and enjoy!
