  1. 150 gramssmall chicken pieces, skinless and boneless
  2. 3white onions, chopped
  3. 1onion, sliced into rings
  4. 2 tablespoonsraisins
  5. 4 clovesgarlic, crushed
  6. 1/4 cupolive oil
  7. 1 teaspoonsalt
  8. 1 tablespooncilantro
  9. 1 teaspoonsaffron
  10. 1/2 teaspoonblack pepper
  11. 1/2 teaspooncinnamon
  12. 1/2 teaspoonginger
  13. 2 teaspoonssugar
  14. 1 cupwater

    Wash the chicken thoroughly with water.

  2. 2

    In a tagine over heat, add a little oil, then add the chicken, chopped onions, and spices. Cook until the onions soften.

  3. 3

    Add the sliced onion rings and raisins to the chicken and stir the mixture.

  4. 4

    Dissolve the sugar in the cup of water and add to the tagine. Let it simmer on low heat until cooked through.

  5. 5

    Remove the tagine from the heat, serve the chicken with raisins and onions on a plate, and serve hot.
