Ingredients

  1. 1.1 lbsground beef (500 grams)
  2. 4tomatoes
  3. 2large onions
  4. 1 1/2 tablespoonspomegranate molasses
  5. 1 tablespoontahini
  6. Pinch7-spice blend
  7. Salt
  8. 1little oil, for greasing
  9. For the dough:
  10. 2.2 lbsall-purpose flour (1 kilogram)
  11. 1small cup oil (about 1/4 cup or 60 ml)
  12. 1 tablespoonyeast
  13. Salt

Steps

  1. 1

    Make the dough and let it rest for 1 hour.

  2. 2

    Prepare the meat by mixing it with the remaining ingredients.

  3. 3

    Roll out the dough and cut it into small circles, according to the desired size.

  4. 4

    Fold each circle from four sides to form a square shape.

    Grease the bottom of a baking tray with oil, place the dough squares on the tray, and fill them with the meat mixture.

  6. 6

    Bake in the oven until the bottoms are golden and the tops are browned.

  7. 7

    You can serve it with hummus with tahini.
