Ingredients

  • 1 cupThick poha (mota chura) -
  • 1 tspMustard seeds -
  • 1-2Green chillies chopped -
  • 1Finely chopped onion -
  • 1Small diced potato -
  • 2 tbspGreen peas -
  • 2 tbspDiced carrot -
  • 1/2 tspTurmeric powder -
  • 7-8Curry leaves -
  • to tasteSalt -
  • 1 tspLemon juice -
  • 1 tbspOil -
  • 1/2 tspSugar -

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak the poha with little amount of water and cover it for half an hour.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a kadai.

  3. 3

    . Put the mustard seeds to crackle.

  4. 4

    Add onion and potato till light brown.

  5. 5

    Add green peas,carrot, curry leaves, turmeric powder and green chilli and saute for 5-6 minutes.

  6. 6

    Add poha and salt and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  7. 7

    When the poha gets ready, mix sugar and lemon juice and serve in the break fast.

  8. 8

    Note -To make the poha soft, soak and cover it for half and hour.
