Ingredients

Chokha recipe
3-4 servings
  • 2 cupwheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp Ajwain (caram seeds)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tspBaking soda
  • as neededOil
  • 1 tbspMelted ghee or oil
  • 1 cupsattu(black gram flour)
  • 1medium onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 tspCrushed lahsun (garlic)
  • 1 tspCrushed adrak (ginger)
  • 1 tsp Chopped green chilli
  • 1/2 tspcrushed jeera (cumine seeds)
  • 1/4 tsp Kalaunji (Onion seeds)
  • 1 tsp Crushed saunf(fennel seeds)
  • 1/2 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Aam ka Atchar masala (pickle)
  • Chopped coriander leaves optional
  • 2 tsp Mustard oil
  • 1/4 tsp Black salt
  • 2 tspWater Salt to taste
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • Baigan ka chokha (Brinjal)
  • 1/4 tspCrushed ginger
  • 1chopped Green chilli
  • 1 tspMustard oil
  • 1/4 tspChopped garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 tspOnion chopped
  • 1 chopped green chilli
  • as neededCoriander leaves chopped
  • Salt as per taste
  • Potato Chokha:
  • 2-3boiled and mashed potatoes
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1/4 tspGinger Chopped
  • 1 tsp Mustard oil
  • Tomato chokha:
  • 2-3big size tomatoes (roasted peeed and mashed)
  • 1Chopped green chilli
  • 1/4 tspRed chilli Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Lemon juice

Steps

Chokha recipe

    To prepare the tomatoes Chokha add all ingredients

    Mix it together. Chokha is ready. Keep aside.

    Baigan ka Chokha

    Dough of Litti

    Take a Mixing bowl. Add all ingredients

    Mix it very well with the help of palm

    When looks it crumble then add some water and knead a soft dough

    Cover the dough with wet cloth or lid.Keep aside for 30 minutes

    Prepare stuffing:

    Take a bowl.Add all ingredients of stuffing and mix it very well with the help of palm.

    Put some water in it.

    Because of Sattu stuffing mixture should not be too dry or too wet.

    If the mixutre is too dry, then the dryness is felt when eating litti. Stuffing will be little crumbly.

    After 30 minutes, divide the dough into 9 equal parts and roll them into balls.

    Now take a ball, Flatten the dough in your plam and make a shallow cup.

    Now put the 2 tspn. stuffing mixture and little press.

    Lift the edeges if the dough and close it properly. Roll it into a ball.

    Preheat an Airfryer to 180 celsius. Apply some ghee on top of littis. Arrange one batch of littis.

    Bake for 15-20 minutes untill brown in clour.Flip the littis upside down and Bake for another 10 minuts.

    They should be evenly browned from all sides.

    Now remove the baked littis and hold with a long and roast them over direct flame so that brown spots appear all over them.

    Coat the litti evenly with ghee and keep them in a serving plate. Litti are ready to serve.
