Steps
- 1
In a bowl mix besan salt 2 tsp oil and soda. Add 1/2 cup water slowly mixing it so that lumps should not form. Add more water if required. Consistency should not be thick as it will not pass through the holes of spatula. I have added little carrom seeds and red chilli powder to make it little spicy. You can make with salt only too.
- 2
Heat oil in a kadahi or a wide open pan.
- 3
When hot enough to fry slow down the flame and pour batter over jhara (spatula with holes) and with the help of a spoon pass through holes and make boondi and fry on low to medium flame until light golden in colour and crisp
- 4
When done Fry from other side by flipping it. Remove from pan with spatula. Can mix fried and crushed curry leaves at this stage if you like. I mixed some.
- 5
Now your boondi is ready. You can make with it raita and sabzi too. Also it can be used for pani puri ka pani and chat purposes.

Thank you.
