Ingredients

  1. 1 cupbesan flour
  2. 1/2 teaspoonajwain
  3. 1/2 teaspoonsesame seeds
  4. to tasteSalt
  5. Green Chilli paste
  6. Garlic paste
  7. 1 tablespooncoriander
  8. 1/4 teaspoonturmeric
  9. 1/4 teaspoonchilli powder
  10. 1/2 teaspoongaram masala
  11. Oil to fry
  12. Chutney, sauce, fresh vegetables and cheese
  13. Tortillas

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl add all ingredients and make batter using little water at a time. Make the batter of pouring consistency.

    Heat pancake plate and add one spoonful of batter and spread it round. Quickly press the tortilla on top and let it cook until it lifts from sides. Add a couple of drops of oil if you wish for the tortilla to be crisp. Cook both sides and remove in a plate once cooked on both sides.

    Add chutney and filling of your choice and enjoy.

Hi all, my name is Rekha. I am Indian by birth, born in Uganda, East Africa, I now live in Wilby, Northamptonshire/England.I retired at the age of 60 due to severe arthritis. I am married, a mother and grandmother.I learnt to cook from my parents at a very young age of seven. I started to cook simple dishes for the family and gradually learnt how to cook. My mum use to cook at our shop where we sold Indian sweets and savouries. I have learnt a lot from my mum. I started cooking fusion dishes and learning from others. My strong point is making sweet dishes and innovating new dishes. I can improvise and be creative in leftover dishes.I love being on Cookpad because I can share and learn new recipes. I have also made a lot of friends.
