Ingredients

  1. 1 3/4 teaspoonbutter
  2. 1/4 can (10 3/4 ounce)condensed cream of mushroom soup.
  3. 1/3 cupand 1 teaspoon water, or as needed
  4. 1/4 (12 fluid ounces) canevaporated milk
  5. 1/4onion, chopped
  6. to tastesalt and pepper
  7. 9 ozstainless, boneless chicken breast halves - cubed
  8. 1/4 (6 ounce) cansliced mushrooms drained

Steps

  1. 1

    In a large saucepan, melt the butter/ margarine. Add the soup, water and milk. Stir together over medium heat. Add the onion, salt and pepper and bring to a boil.

    When mixture starts boiling add the chicken and simmer all together until chicken is cooked through. Add the sliced mushrooms and boil over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring often. Serve

    ***You can use milk instead of water, can be 2% or evaporated milk. Can put green beans or carrots or celery in this dish up to the cook.

    This recipe can also be done in the oven.

  5. 5

    Before anything is done brown the chicken first
