Ingredients

  1. For Mint chutney filling
  2. 1/4 cupmint leaves
  3. 1/2 cupcoriander leaves
  4. 1green chilli chopped
  5. 1/2 tbspginger chopped
  6. 1/2 tbspgarlic chopped
  7. 1 tspsugar
  8. Salt as per taste
  9. 1 tbsplemon juice
  10. 1/4 cuponion (opt)
  11. Water as required
  12. For yoghurt marinade
  13. 3 tbspyoghurt
  14. 1 tspturmeric
  15. 1/2 tbspginger paste
  16. 1/2 tbspgarlic paste
  17. 1 tsporegano
  18. to tastesalt
  19. 1/2 tspgaram masala powder
  20. 1 tspred chilli powder
  21. 1 tspchaat masala powder (opt)
  22. 250 grmspaneer
  23. 2 tbspolive oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Add all ingredients listed below mint chutney in blender and make smooth paste,ur green chutney is ready. Keep aside

  2. 2

    Thickly slice paneer and slit the slices without cutting through

  3. 3

    For the marinade, whisk together the yoghurt, add turmeric, red chilli powder,ginger garlic paste, garam masala powder,salt chat masala powder, oregano and leave aside

  4. 4

    Place a tsp of mint chutney filling in the slit of each slice of paneer, spreading evenly and then leave to one side

  5. 5

    Apply the yoghurt marinade all over each slice of paneer

  6. 6

    Heat oil in non stick pan over medium heat, add paneer pieces & fry until golden brown.

  7. 7

    Flip the pieces over the pan fry the other side. Cook for another 2-3mins until golden brown

  8. 8

    Transfer the fried paneer to a plate

  9. 9

    Serve hot
