Ingredients

  1. Nalla Ennai (2-3 tablespoon)
  2. Kadugu
  3. Urid dal
  4. Vendayam
  5. Kancha mizhagai
  6. (Sorte the above)
  7. Salt (as per need)
  8. Chinna vengayam
  9. 1medium onion chopped finely
  10. Tomato (half a tin)
  11. Turmeric
  12. Chilli powder (1.5 table spoon)
  13. Dhania powder (3 table spoons)
  14. Puli (soak in half a mug of hot water - 1min in microwave)
  15. Coconut milk (Half a tin)
  16. Butter beans/mixed beans/Channa (1 tin)

Steps

  1. 1

    Sorte Kadugu, urid dal, vendayam and kancha milagai with oil.

  2. 2

    Then sorte the onion well (add a pinch of salt).

  3. 3

    Then sorte the tomato until no raw smell.

  4. 4

    Add turmeric, chilli powder and dhania powder and cook well.

  5. 5

    Now add the puli thanni and leave it cook for 5 minutes.

  6. 6

    Now add coconut oil and leave it cook for 3 minutes.

  7. 7

    Now add the butterbeans/other beans and leave it to cook for 10 minutes.

  8. 8

    Yummy puli kozhambu is ready
