Ingredients

  1. 1 cupplain flour
  2. 2 teaspoonsugar
  3. 3 tablespoonbutter
  4. 1 tablespooncurd
  5. 1 teaspoonsesame seeds
  6. 1 teaspoonajwain
  7. 1 teaspoonchilli flakes
  8. 1 teaspoonsalt
  9. 1/2 teaspoonbaking powder
  10. 1 teaspoonred chilli powder
  11. Pinchasafoetida
  12. 1 tablespoonginger chilly paste
  13. 2 tablespooncoriander
  14. 1 teaspooncumin seeds

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 170 degrees.
    In a bowl sieve flour, salt and baking powder
    Take butter and powdered sugar and mix for about a minute until mice and creamy. Add rest of the ingredients to the creamed butter and mix. Once mixed add flour and make a dough.

    Take a big roll and roll it to the desired thickness and cut with cookie cutters. I have kept it to 1/8 of an inch

    Using a skewer or a fork make some holes on cookies and bake them in the pre heated oven at 170degree Celcius for 18 to 20 minutes or until the sides are brown. I have used cone tapered tool to make holes.

Hi all, my name is Rekha. I am Indian by birth, born in Uganda, East Africa, I now live in Wilby, Northamptonshire/England.I retired at the age of 60 due to severe arthritis. I am married, a mother and grandmother.I learnt to cook from my parents at a very young age of seven. I started to cook simple dishes for the family and gradually learnt how to cook. My mum use to cook at our shop where we sold Indian sweets and savouries. I have learnt a lot from my mum. I started cooking fusion dishes and learning from others. My strong point is making sweet dishes and innovating new dishes. I can improvise and be creative in leftover dishes.I love being on Cookpad because I can share and learn new recipes. I have also made a lot of friends.
