You guessed it; I had some leftover cold cuts and I threw them on a pizza with some cheese and bacon.

  1. 1thin pizza base (shop bought or see the dough recipe in my profile)
  2. to tastepizza sauce of your choice (also see the recipes in my profile)
  3. to tastegrated mozzarella
  4. 1 teaspoondried oregano
  5. to tastemature cheddar
  6. to tastefresh basil
  7. 3 slicesthin-sliced ham (torn)
  8. 3 slicesthin-sliced chicken (torn)
  9. 3-4 sliceschorizo (torn)
  10. 2 slicespastrami (torn)
  11. 2 rasherssmoked streaky bacon (sliced into lardons)
  12. to tastesalt and freshly ground black pepper to season
  13. to tastegrated Mexicana cheese (optional)

Steps

    Cut your bacon into large lardons. Preheat the oven to gas mark 8/450°F (230 °C)

  2. 2

    Prep your base with the tomato sauce and some dried oregano,and grated mozzarella, then scatter with some torn basil

    If you want to add some extra spice, grate on Mexicana to taste...

    Add some broken slices of cheddar, and season with black pepper and a little salt...

    Next, add the the ham and the chicken. I'm using honey roasted dry-cured ham, and flame grilled chicken breast Scatter on some more cheese

    Add the pastrami...

    ... Then the chorizo

    And top with the bacon

    Scatter on a little more mozzarella and/or Cheddar

    Bake in the middle of the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese has melted. Serve and dig in

I'm a designer/artist and I learned to cook when I started making my own Chinese food over 30 years ago. I'm a lover of my native British food, but recently I've developed a taste for American comfort food, especially sandwiches and BBQ (watching too much 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives' probably). 😸 Unfortunately, we don't have any independent US-style diners or drive-ins in my neck of the woods, so I had to learn from recipe books and the Food Network. I'll also be publishing some traditional UK classics in case any non-Brits want to have a crack at Brit grub.
