Basundi

#dussehra Basundi is a traditional Indian dessert made from milk.It is a sweetened condensed milk made by boiling milk on low flame until the milk reduces to half of it's quantity. Basundi flavoured with cardamom and nutmeg with addition of dry fruits.

Take the milk in a heavy bottom pan and heat the milk on slow flame.For boiling milk always use wide and broad pan so the milk will evaporate quickly and won't spill out.

When the milk boils cream comes on a milk,stir this cream in a milk.

Repeat this process until the milk reduces to half of it's quantity and stiring often to prevent burning.

When milk reduces to half of it's quantity add sugar and mix well and simmer for 5-10 minutes and switched off the flame.

Add safron,dry fruits,charoli,cardamom and nutmeg powder.

U may enjoy this basundi hot as well as refrigerator it for 5-6 hrs and then serve, a thick layer of cream forms on basundi after refrigeration so,it will gives reach taste to the basundi.
