Steps

Take e deep pot boil water

Add moong daal and boil adding salt and turmeric powder

As the daal is half done add the rice and boil until the rice and daal are well cooked

Now in another pan heat oil and temper cumin seed bay leaf and red chilli

Add ginger paste and saute well

Add cumin-coriander powder and red chilli Powder and mix well

Add salt and turmeric powder and mix well

Add coconut stir well adding sugar

Add this into the pot boiling daal and rice

Mix well and switch off

Serve with fried vegetables
