Steps
- 1
In a large sufuria pour in 1/2 a cup of cookies oil and let it get hot then add in your diced onions and let them cook to a good golden brown.
- 2
Add your chopped meat, stir well add salt and cover your sufuria for 5 minutes and allow it to cook until all the juices from the beef dry up.
- 3
Add 3 tble spoons of garlic & ginger paste that you just made from pounding your garlic & ginger and continue stiring.
- 4
Add your blended tomatoes stir and cover your sufuria for a minute or 2 and allow it to cook through.
- 5
Add 2 tble spoons of tomato paste stir nicely then add in your pilau masala give it a good mix and pour in 1/2 a cup of water and let it cook for 2 minutes.
- 6
At this point the water we had put to help the tomato paste and pilau masala cook is over so we now add 4 cups of boiling water to help cook the rice.
- 7
Add in your rice stir nicely so that the beef can mix with the rice, then reduce your heat to low, cover your sufuria and let it cook.
- 8
After 20-25 minutes check on your food to see if the water is over and if it's ready.
- 9
Once ready let it cool down for around 5 minutes then you can serve with your favourite stew and kachumbari. Bon appetite 😋😋
