Soft layered chapatis
Who doesn't love chapos, here is my recipe for soft yummy ones.
Steps
- 1
Pour the warm water into a mixing bowl, add salt, sugar and coconut milk, stir well
- 2
Add flour in bits as you mix preferably with your hands to make a soft but not sticky dough, knead slightly for 10 mins the cover the dough and let it rest for 30mins to 1hrs for glutten to settle, this results to softer chapatis.
- 3
Once the dough has rested devide it into small ball not so tiny but the size of a golf ball
- 4
Roll each out and spread a little oil in the middle then roll back into a ball, when done with this process roll each out into sizeable circle and cook on a flat pan, cook each side for 3-4 mins while oiling until it turns a good golden colour
- 5
Serve with any stew dish for lunch/supper or you can have it with of your favourite beaverag tea/coffee/soda etc. Enjoy....
