Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 cupsall-purpose flour
  2. 120 gbrown sugar
  3. 1 tspcinnamon powder
  4. 1/4 tspginger powder
  5. 1/4 tspcloves powder
  6. 1 pinchsalt
  7. 1 tspbaking soda
  8. 1/2 tspnutmeg powder
  9. 1 cupbuttermilk
  10. 100 gmelted butter
  11. 1 tspvanilla extract
  12. 250 gdried or candied Fruits (I used apricots, raisins, cranberries, cherries, candied orange & lemon peel)

Steps

  1. 1

    In a large bowl add fruits, flour, baking soda, salt, ginger powder, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder, cloves powder, and sugar.

    Mix everything and keep that aside.

  3. 3

    In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, buttermilk, vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix well.

  5. 5

    Pour into the prepared loaf pan and even out the top.

  6. 6

    Bake at 180 °C for 40 to 50 minutes or a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake will come out clean.

  7. 7

    Let cool down for 5 minutes before removing from the pan.
