When you are reminded of one of your local common meal and can't help but respond by getting yourself back to the old days.
Steps

Wash rice and let it drain

Cook onions till golden brown

Add boiled beans and mix well
- 4
Add tumeric, pilau masala and garlic and mix well
- 5
Add rice and mix it well with beans

Add 3 cups of water to the mixture then add salt to taste and stir well.

Let the mixture boil under low heat until the water is reduced almost to the level of rice then add carrots and pilipili hoho and mix gently.

Let the mixture cook under low heat until the water is fully drained.

Switch off the heat and let the mix steam for 10 more minutes.

Serve the delicious mseto with kachumbari.
