Ingredients

  • 2 cupsall-purpose flour (about 250 grams)
  • 2 cupssemolina flour (about 320 grams)
  • 2 1/2 cupssugar (about 500 grams)
  • 1 cupvegetable oil (about 240 ml)
  • 2 tablespoonsturmeric
  • 2 tablespoonsbaking powder
  • 1 tablespoonvanilla extract
  • Pinchsalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Place all the ingredients in a bowl. Mix well until a smooth, cohesive batter forms, then let it rest for 2 hours.

  2. 2

    Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Pour the batter into a baking pan. Insert a skewer or toothpick in the center to check for doneness.

  3. 3

    Broil the top for 5 minutes until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Cut into pieces and let cool before serving. Enjoy!
