Italian Mashed Potatoes

Boil the potatoes with a pinch of salt and bay leafs to infuse the flavour.

Peel the potatoes when done and chop them into fine pieces.

Then melt the butter in a sauce pan and add chopped garlic to it.

When the garlic gets goldenish, add 100ml milk to it.

Now add the chopped potatoes and mix it with the milk and butter. Then mash the mixture using a potato masher or a spatula.

When the mixture is mashed properly and thick in texture, add the remaining milk to it.

Now add salt, pepper and the Italian herbs according to taste. Preferably1.5 teaspoon of pepper.

Finally mix the ingredients well and give it a final mash. Add more milk according to the consistency you desire.

Garnish with parsley and thyme.
