Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

Boil water and use it to wash your omena.

  2. 2

In a sufuria fry your onions until they start to brown.

  3. 3

Add in your washed omena and stir, then let it cook for 3 minutes or until all the water has dried up.

  4. 4

Add in Salt, tomatoes and capsicum, give a good mix and let it cook until the tomatoes are tender.

  5. 5

After 5 minutes the tomatoes are cooked nicely and the omena continues to cook in the cooking oil so that the become a little crunchy.

  6. 6

Stir so that it doesn't stick on the sufuria, taste and if you like them slightly crunchy you are good to go but if you like them very crunchy let them cook for a little longer.

  7. 7

Put out the fire and squeeze in lemon juice, sprinkle coriander leaves, stir and cover with a lid and let it rest for a minute or two.

  8. 8

Serve with ugali and desired vegetables. 😋😋😋 very sweet enjoy.
