Ingredients

  1. 6 pcsPrawn medium size
  2. 1Onion big size
  3. 1/2 cupCrushed coconut
  4. 1 cupCoconut milk
  5. 3-4Green chilli
  6. 1 tea spoonGinger garlic paste
  7. 1 tea spoonTurmeric powder
  8. 1 tea spoonRed chilli powder
  9. 1 tea spoonKashmiri mirch powder
  10. 1/2 tspGaram masala powder
  11. Salt as per taste
  12. 1/2 tspSugar
  13. 3 tablespoonMustard oil
  14. to tasteWhole garam masala
  15. 1dry red chilli

Steps

  1. 1

    Marinated the prawns with salt and turmeric powder for 20 mins.

  2. 2

    Grind onion and crushed coconut.

  3. 3

    Heat a pan add oil and fry the prawns.

  4. 4

    Add dry red chilli and whole garam masala after 1 min add onion and coconut paste.cook for 5 mins.

  5. 5

    Add ginger garlic paste and green chilli Cook for 7-8 mins.

  6. 6

    Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, Kashmiri mirch powder cook for 5 mins. Now add coconut milk, fried prawns,salt and sugar. Mix well and cover.

  7. 7

    Cook for 5 -7 mins lastly add garam masala powder. Put the gas off. Now prawn malaicurry is ready to serve.
