1/2Donut+RosemaryTea #festivedishcontestkakamega#authormarathon#

Sundays are special days for most families especially during this festive season with family members around. And the special part of Sunday is noted with the right food, the day starts with a special breakfast for the special people. Today I made these and called them 1/2 Donuts (half-doughnuts) since I used my own trial recipe. And they came out so sweet.

Steps
- 1
In a plastic bowl, put the flour and add the margarine rubbing it well till well mixed
- 2
Add the baking powder, the lemon rind, sugar and mix well
- 3
Now add the eggs and mix well, (beating one by one in a different container first before adding to the flour mixture, incase one is spoilt so you don't loose what you started)
- 4
Little by little, add the milk to make a soft dough (but not soft as for chapati, slightly hard/heavy). When the dough is set, cover with a wet warm towel for 10 minutes)
- 5
From the big dough, make small doughs, sprinkle a little flour on the rolling board to avoid the dough from sticking on it, now roll and cut into shapes of your like. If you have space or enough trays, you can roll and cut into shapes all the dough so that you are ready to start deep frying them for once.
- 6
Put the oil on a cooking Sufuria or deep frying pan. Wait for the oil to cook well before diping the pieces to avoid soaking in oil. When ready, test with one piece first to confirm and if okay, Start deep frying them.
- 7
Turn them on the other side, making sure the heat is not too much so that they cook well inside.
- 8
When they fry on both sides for 5minutes in a moderate heat, and the color is golden brown, you can be sure that they are well cooked inside and you can now remove them (half-donuts) from fire.
- 9
When done with deep frying them, you can now prepare your Rosemary tea. Two 500ml packets of milk, 1/2 a liter water, 1 teaspoonful of black tea leaves, 1 teaspoonful of rosemary, and ginger to taste.
- 10
When tea is ready, you now serve breakfast to your loved ones.
- 11
Here's a bite to see how the inside has cooked.

Try this out and don't forget to COOKSNAP for us. Cheers 😘
