Ingredients

  1. 4 medium sized boiled and grated or mashed potatoes
  2. 1 tbspcornflour
  3. 1/4 cupbread crumbs
  4. 1/4 tspblack pepper powder
  5. to tasteSalt
  6. Ingredients for stuffing:-
  7. 1/4 cupdessicated coconut or dry grated coconut
  8. 1 tspgreen chilli and ginger paste
  9. 5-6cashews finely chopped
  10. 2 tspraisins
  11. 2 tbspchopped coriander leaves
  12. 1 tsplemon juice
  13. to tasteSalt
  14. Other ingredients:-
  15. as neededOil for frying
  16. 1 tbspTamarind chutney for garnishing
  17. 1 tbspGreen chutney for garnishing
  18. 1 tbspChopped coriander for garnishing
  19. 2 tsppomegranate for garnishing
  20. 1-2 tbspsev for garnishing

Cooking Instructions

    Take mashed potatoes, cornflour, bread crumbs, black pepper powder and salt in a big mixing bowl. Mix it well.
    Make a soft and smooth dough. Keep aside.

    For stuffing- take dessicated coconut in a mixing bowl.
    Add green chilli and ginger paste, chopped cashews, raisins, chopped coriander, lemon juice and salt. Mix well and keep aside.

    Now divide the dough into eight equal portions. Take a portion and flatten it on palm. Now put 1tsp stuffing on center of the flatten dough. Close from all the sides and make a ball.

    Repeat the same process with the remaining dough portions and stuffing. Keep aside.

    Heat oil in a wok on low medium heat.

    Fry all the patties in the hot oil on medium flame till they becomes golden brown.

    Drain out in a plate. Assemble in a serving plate.

    Garnish with tangy tamarind chutney, green chutney, pomegranate and sev.
    Serve hot.
