These are one type of traditional sweet dish of Odisha which is offered as a bhog to goddess Lakshmi on every thursday on the month of Margashir.

Soak urad dal for minimum 2-3 hours.

Grind it to make a thick batter.

Add salt in it and mix it well.

Heat a kadai and put oil in it. Then dip fry the batter by making small vadas and keep them aside.

In another pan heat jaggery and allow it to melt completely.

Then mix all the prepared vadas in it and mix it well and switch off the flame. Your rasbara / biri laddoos are now ready to serve.
