Another Christmas special in our home! We usually make a goodie plate for our friends. This cookie is always on the plate every Christmas! It's a fun family project! 😊

Heat oven to 150 degrees.

Beat the butter with an electric mixer or by hand.

Add the sugar and beat well. Scrape the sides and bottom to incorporate everything.

Add the vanilla essence and water and beat till combined.

Add the flour, bit by bit. If using an electric mixer it may get hard to keep mixing. Use a spoon at that point. Or, forgo the electric mixer for this step. The dough gets stiff but soft.

Chop the nuts. I used walnuts. Add to the dough and mix well with a spoon or spatula.

Form small balls and/or flatten a little. I have different sizes! :) Place on a baking tray. Bake for 20 minutes. Dust with icing sugar and enjoy!
