Kathal ki sabji/jackfruit curry

Before proceeding, spread a little oil on your palms. Peel the kathal and chop into 1-1.5 inch pieces.

Heat oil in kadhai and deep fry the kathal and seeds. Drain the excess oil. Take about 2-3 tsp of oil, add sliced onions and fry till it turns golden brown. To this, add chopped tomatoes and fry for another 5-7 minutes.

Add coriander powder, chilli powder, haldi powder and fry for about a minute.

To this, add the fried kathal and mix well and cook. Covered for 15-20 minutes. Turning in between.

Finally add garam masala and serve hot with chapati.
