Chai Ya Meko (Firewood Tea) #mymum'srecipe

I love authentic tea from ushago(the village). cooked on the three stone firewood. Milk is milked at 4am and the tea cooked, with tea leaves and sugar added as it cooks off. Nothing tastes sweeter than this tea at grandma's place. Mum used to cook the tea and we would all gather under a tree with big cups and either sweet potatoes, nduma or njugu in these metallic cups! Now as a growon up I have taken to making the sweet tea
