Peel and de-seed the plums. using a wooden spoon, mash the plums and dip in the milk. Add in the vanilla essence. Stir Vigorously.

In a large mixing bowl, mix all the dry ingredients by hand, then add in the oil and margarine and rub in gently

Break in the eggs one by one as you mix

Pour in the liquid mixture and make a smooth dough. Let it rest for 10 - 15 minutes

Roll out the dough to half centimeter thick and cut to desired shapes

In a medium heated oil, dip the pieces and let them turn golden on both sides

Serve
