Rinse the brown rice once, then soak it in the prepared water for 1 hour (use just enough water for cooking, as the soaking water will be used for cooking). Toast the sesame seeds until golden.

Use a pressure cooker for faster cooking. Add the soaked brown rice and toasted sesame seeds to the pot, then cook on the stove until it whistles, then turn off the heat. Let it sit for 15 minutes. The brown rice will soften and expand. You can also use a regular pot: bring to a boil, reduce to low heat, simmer for 20 minutes, then let sit for 15 minutes until the rice is soft.

Once cooked, let it cool, then blend the brown rice mixture in a blender until very smooth. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into another pot. Place the pot on the stove, add the unsweetened milk and a pinch of salt or sugar (use only one, depending on your taste), and bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Pour the finished brown rice milk into a glass bottle. Store in the refrigerator for 3–4 days.
