Ingredients

  • 4 piecestangra fish
  • 1.5 teaspoonturmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoonmustard paste
  • 6green chillies paste
  • 1 teaspoonnigella seeds
  • 1 teaspoonpoppy seeds paste
  • As neededSalt
  • 1/4 cupchopped coriander leaves
  • As requiredMustard oil

  1. 1

    Marinate the fishes with 1/2 teaspoon of sugar and some salt as required.

  2. 2

    Heat some oil in a wok and deep fry them. Keep them aside.

  3. 3

    In the same wok, add some oil if required. Temper the nigella seeds.

  4. 4

    Add the poppy seeds paste, rest of the turmeric powder, green chillies paste and mustard paste. Fry them very well.

  5. 5

    Add little amount of water for the gravy and some salt. Bring it to boil.

  6. 6

    Add the fishes and after you get the desired consistency, add some mustard oil to emphasize the flavour of it.
