Put onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic and green chillies in a grinding jar and grind them all to make fine paste.

Peel and cut yam in small squared pieces. Heat oil and fry these pieces till golden colour.

Take out fried yam pieces from hot oil and put cumins seeds in same oil. Once it is cracked add onion tomato paste in it and saute till it leaves oil on it's sides.

Now put red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt in it and mix well. Cook it for another 2 minutes. Then add yam pieces and peas in it.

Add water and cover the pan with lid for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes saute and then again cover the pan for another 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes switch off the gas and add fresh cream in it, mix well and serve with roti or naan.
