Ingredients

  1. 1 cupKabuli Chana
  2. 1 tbspoon chana dal
  3. Puree of 1big tomato, oil
  4. 1boiled potato(optional)
  5. 2cloves, 2 cinnamon
  6. 1onion chopped,
  7. Chole masala (badshah or everest)
  8. Garam masala, salt, chilli powder, black salt, amchor
  9. Garnisning: 1 )sliced onions, salt,chilli powder and a little spoon of oil
  10. 2) sliced 1 Green chilli, oil, ajwain, sprigs of ginger, kasuri methi

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak the kabuli chana n chana dal overnight or early morning. Pressure cook them with salt, cloves n cinnamon n 1 tea bag so chana turns dark in colour.

    Take oil in a pan, fry the onions till dark brown, add the tomato puree, cook fr a while then add chole masala, garam masala chilli powder, black salt, anchor. mix well and add the chana and potato (optional) along with the water cook for atleast 10-15 mins. just before switching off the gas add kasuri methi.

  3. 3

    Garnishing: just before serving take a little oil in a kadchi, add ajwain,green chilli, sprigs of ginger and add that to the Chole. Garnish it with lemon juice n coriander leaves n serve hot. Serve with garnished onions on the side serve with hot hot wheat purists or bhatura or parathas
