  1. 1 cupAmaranth flour
  2. 1/2 cupsugar
  3. 1/2 cupbutter
  4. 1/2 cupyoghurt
  5. 1 tbsbaking powder
  6. 1 tbsbaking soda
  7. 1/2 cupmix chopped nuts
  8. 1 tbsvanilla essence
  9. 1/2 cupmilk
  10. 1 pinchsalt

    In a large mixing bowl sieve the amaranth flour, baking powder and soda thrice.

  2. 2

    Next in other mixing bowl pour melted butter, sugar, salt, yoghurt, vanilla essence and whisk very well to make a smooth mixture.

    Now pour the dry ingredients into the wet mixture laddle by laddle and combine.

  4. 4

    Now add milk as required and mix. Next add chopped nuts and combine to make a smooth batter.

  5. 5

    Now grease the tin and preheat the oven for 10 minutes in 180°C.

  6. 6

    Pour the batter and tap twice to release air bubbles.

  7. 7

    Place the tin and bake the cake for 35 minutes. When it's done check with toothpick.

  8. 8

    Now allow the cake to cool completely and demould the cake carefully.

  9. 9

    Now sprinkle some powdered sugar and decorate with nuts.

  10. 10

    Slice the cake and serve. Enjoy the healthy cake recipe, prepared in no time.
