Steps

First whisk gram flour adding water till it becomes light. After checking, add all other ingredients except salt. Whisk and mix properly to make a even batter without lumps.

Add salt after all the ingredients are added and prepare the batter.

Heat the oil and check it by putting a small drop of batter in it. It should not be burning hot, else Fritters will burn from outside and will remain raw from inside.

Add the potato slices to the batter. Cover them completely in batter and put in hot oil one by one. Fry until done golden brown on medium flame.

Afterwards add onion slices and mix them in the batter properly. Take it in hand and pour in oil slightly giving the shape. Fry till golden brown.

Serve hot with spicy green chutney and hot masala tea. U can also add chopped Spinach to the batter for spinach Fritters.
