Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1 literFull Fat Milk
  2. 4 tablespoonsSugar
  3. 6Almonds, soaked in water for an hour
  4. 2 tablespoonsMixed nuts, chopped
  5. 1/2 cupOrange pulp
  6. 1/4 teaspooncardamom powder
  7. 1/4 teaspoonOrange Zest (Optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Put the milk in a heavy sauce pan

  2. 2

    Bring the milk to boil and reduce heat to minimum. Keep stirring with a spoon from time to time.

  3. 3

    Soak the almond for a couple of hours and peel. Chop or slice the almonds and the cashew nuts.

  4. 4

    When the milk starts to thicken add the dry fruits to the kheer.

  5. 5

    Add sugar and keep stirring. When the kheer is of desired consistency switch off the gas.
    Add cardamom powder.

  6. 6

    Keep stirring for a while. Cool the kheer and cover.

  7. 7

    Add some Orange Zest.

  8. 8

    Just before serving add the chilled orange pulp. Enjoy as a dessert after a meal.
