Soak urad daal and barely together. Soak millet separately. Soak for 5 hours.

Grind urad daal and barely together to a smooth paste. Coarsely grind millet. Add salt mix well keep it overnight Or 6-8 hours.

Batter will double in the quantity. Grease the idli plates put batter.

I have used tatte idli plates can prepare regular idli. Steam for 10 minutes

Enjoy idli with sambar/ chutney
