Ingredients

  1. 2.2 poundsall-purpose flour (about 1 kilogram)
  2. 1.1 poundsvegetable shortening (about 500 grams)
  3. 1/2 cupsugar (about 100 grams)
  4. 1 tablespoonsalt
  5. Beer

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt.

  2. 2

    Add the shortening and mix with your hands.

  3. 3

    Gradually add the beer and knead until the dough has a good consistency and no longer sticks to your hands.

  4. 4

    Let the dough rest while you preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).

  5. 5

    Roll out the dough, cut, and fill with your desired filling.

  6. 6

    Bake for 30 minutes.

  7. 7

    Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon or powdered sugar.
