In a pan, heat the pork lard and add the meat. Let it brown for about 10 minutes.

Add the spices and orange, let it cook for another 10 minutes, then add the soda and milk.

Stir with a wooden spoon to prevent sticking. Let it cook for about 1 hour and 15 minutes until the liquid is reduced and the meat is tender.

Once the meat feels tender, remove it and shred it.

Serve in corn tortillas with pico de gallo and your preferred salsa.
