  1. 5/16 cuparabic coffee, ground
  2. 6 cardamom pods, partially opened
  3. 3/4 teaspoonground cardamom
  4. 1/2 teaspoonsaffron
  5. 5/16 cuprosewater

  1. 1

    Heat 6 cups of water in a large pan with the cardamom powder.

  2. 2

    Before the water boils, add the coffee and stir several times. Leave to boil for a minute or two.

  3. 3

    Remove from heat and leave for a few minutes for the coffee to settle.

  4. 4

    Pour the coffee in a kettle but leave the settled coffee at the bottom of the pan. Add in the cardamom pods, saffron, and rosewater.

  5. 5

    Place the kettle over low heat and when it starts to boil, remove and serve hot.

Hello to all the sisters on this site. I live in Kuwait City with my husband; we got married 2 yrs ago.Since I got married, I started learning how to cook from my mom. Before that I used to work full time and I never took the time to cook. I had my mum.. Now that I am home waiting for my first baby, inchallah khair!!!! I spend more time looking for new recipes on the internet and trying them in my kitchen.They don’t come that bad after all!!! I like Kuwaiti specials, but also some international dishes.
