
Diet Burghul with Tomatoes

In a pan, heat the vegetable oil and stir in the onions until they turn golden. Then mix in the bulgur for a few minutes.

Add in the tomatoes, tomato paste, black pepper, white pepper, salt and 2 cups of water. Combine well and let simmer with the lid on over low heat for about 20 minutes, adding more water if necessary.

Turn off the heat, keep the pan covered and allow to rest for 10 minutes.

Serve hot with fat-free or light yogurt.
