Ingredients

  1. 2 T.olive oil, plus more for pan
  2. 1Lg onion, chopped
  3. 3garlic cloves, minced
  4. 1ib. ground beef
  5. 1 lbitalian-style pork sausage, casings removed
  6. 1& 1/2c. water
  7. 28 oz.can crushed tomatoes
  8. 6 oz.can tomato paste
  9. 2 t.dried italian spice blend
  10. Salt and pepper
  11. 1 lb.(no boil) lasagna noodles
  12. 6 oz.shredded mozzarella cheese
  13. 6 oz.sliced provolone cheese

Steps

    Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 13 x 9 with olive oil

  2. 2

    To make the sauce: Heat oil, saute onion and garlic, then add the beef and pork. Salt and pepper meat, then cook until it is done.

    Stir in the water, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and italian spice. Reduce the heat to med-low. Bring to simmer, stirring as needed until slightly thickened (about 30min.).

    Grab the greased lasagna dish, spread a thin layer on the bottom, then layer the noodles, then add sauce, and then add cheese. Repeat 2 more layers. Finish with a layer of noodles spread with sauce.

    Cover with foil and bake for 30 min.

  6. 6

    Uncover and bake for 15min.

  7. 7

    Remove from oven and let stand for 10min. before cutting into squares to serve.
