Rinse the dal well. Heat the dal, with 1 cup water,1/4 tsp turmeric powder in pressure cooker on high flame for 2 whistle. Then turn the gas low and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.

Then switch off the gas. Keep aside.

Meanwhile take whole wheat flour in a mixing bowl. Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp red chilli powder, one tsp ajwain, pinch asafoetida, salt and and 2 tsp oil. Mix well.

Add sufficient water and knead into stiff dough. cover the dough and rest for 10 minutes.

Take a ball size dough. Roll it into slightly thick circle and cut it into diamond shapes or desired shape and size. Keep aside.

Now open the lid of pressure cooker and smashed the dal well.

Heat the oil in a kadhai on low flame. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, turmeric powder, green chilli and curry leaves and sauté.

Further add goda masala, coriander seed powder, cumin seed powder, red chilli powder and 1 1/2 cup water. Mix well. You can add more or less water for desired consistency.

Add jaggery, kokum petals and dal. Once dal comes to boil add Dhokli pieces and mix well.

Cover and cook for 5 to 10 minutes till the dhokli cooked completely.

Switch off the gas. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
