Ingredients

  1. 1 (9 oz)pkg chocolate wafers
  2. 6 tbspbutter, melted
  3. 1 cupcreamy peanut butter
  4. 1 1/2 cupspowdered sugar
  5. 1 (11 oz)pkg (2 cups) butterscotch chips
  6. 1/4 cupwhipping cream
  7. 3/4 cupchopped peanuts

Steps

    Crush chocolate wafers for a total of 2 cups.

  2. 2

    In a large bowl stir together butter, peanut butter, and powdered sugar. Stir in chocolate wafer crumbs.

  3. 3

    Press mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 13x9x2-inch baking pan.

  4. 4

    In a medium, heavy saucepan combine butterscotch chips and whipping cream. Stir over low heat until pieces are just melted.

  5. 5

    Carefully spoon butterscotch mixture over crumb mixture, spreading evenly. Sprinkle peanuts over butterscotch mixture.

  6. 6

    Cover and chill at least 2 hours. Cut into bars. Makes 48 bars.

  7. 7

    To store: Layer between waxed paper in an airtight container; cover and store in refrigerator for up to 1 week.
