Special and Nutritious Rice (Brown Rice)

Bring the water to a boil in a large pot. Add the chicken bouillon and the piece of onion. You can add a little garlic salt to the water to enhance the flavor. Once the water is boiling, add the rinsed rice.

Check the rice to see when the grains start to split open (brown rice cooks differently than regular white rice, so there’s no exact time). It took me about 45 minutes, and I needed to add another cup of water.

When the rice is fully cooked, remove it from the heat and drain. I rinsed it lightly, but that’s up to you.

Heat a little olive oil or butter in a skillet. Once hot, sauté the bell peppers.

Gradually add the carrot and corn kernels.

Finally, add the cooked rice, stir, and let the flavors combine before turning off the heat.

Serve with fish, chicken, or your preferred meat.
